Almost quit....................but didn't

How many countless times, did I just throw myself on the floor and was deeply concerned on how I was going to pay the rent, the gas bill and the electric........sometimes all 3 of them looming over my head at disconnect level. I felt like I was the debt collector juggler every week, which one can I live without?? The seasons of winter and summer determined which one, most the time. I had usually change to spare at the end of the week and I would count the months till income tax time. 

Then one June summery day, almost a decade ago. I remember the day so clearly, what made me decide to quit my dead-end job with $23.00 to my name and believe in myself??? I am very sure it wasn't me, I was the queen of self-doubt... the nagging voices loomed at my every turn... "You are not good enough!" "You will fail", "How can you... a child of drug parents every make it in this world". Soooooo..... I can say it was God, who spoke that day and gave me the confidence to step out. 

Over a decade later, I have won BIG and I have failed BIG.... but I have always come out alive and happy, because there was lessons in each experience! I want to challenge us both to do something consistent! From now and up till January 1st, make a list of consistency in your life. Whether that is to make your bed, eat dinner at the table with the family or write a blog post every day! DO SOMETHING.. reach out and DO SOMETHING that will bring routine into your life! It is in the routine and consistency, I have built many great things! Every time you hear those nagging voices, do something nice for yourself or just get up and do something... anything....rid those voices with CONSISTENT advancement of YOU!
